The global image refers to the more significant influence of photography. There is a challenge of seeing where my work fits into this more significant influence. I think the challenge of viewing my photos through this lens is always understanding the context of my work. I try to create photographs that are art. It has always surprised me that artistic images used in marketing and propaganda distort context in a way that distracts from the technical and artistic ideas.
What I have learned from this is to create and present my photos within the context of my vision. Outside of my presentation, I cannot guide or influence how the images will be seen or used in the future. I want to think my work relates to the global image because of the content and visual context. Street photography is my passion and I will continue to think of how my work relates to the global image.
